Cleansing Service Group (CSG), a leading waste management specialist, has become a member of the rail Link-up Qualification Scheme.

Link-up is a single common registration scheme operated by Achilles UK and used by the UK rail industry as a source of fully qualified and audited suppliers. As a fully accredited member, CSG is able to respond to tenders issued by Network Rail and over 100 other rail organisations without having to go through the time-consuming process of completing many different pre-qualification documents.

CSG’s Richard Brown said: “Not having to go through the assessment process every time we want to work with a rail industry company for the first time is a major saving of both time and money.

“The Link-up Qualification Scheme has already enabled us to tender and win contracts which we might not have won prior to becoming a member of the scheme”.

Hampshire-based CSG, which is one of the UK waste industry’s fastest growing companies,  operates from 19 sites stretching from Cornwall to Kent and up to Manchester where it runs one of the country’s most advanced hazardous waste treatment plants. It has over 370 employees and its customers include leading supermarket groups, multi-national forecourt chains, local authorities and utility companies.

Globally, Achilles has 28 established supplier management services, serving more than 500 of the worlds’ largest companies and around 30,000 suppliers in nine industry sectors.
