Staff development schemes at a Hampshire-based waste management company have been recognised by an Investors in People Award.

It has been given to Cleansing Service Group’s headquarters site in Fareham where 45 of the company’s 370 national workforce are employed.

Investors in People is the business quality scheme designed to boost company performance by improving staff management, employee satisfaction, motivation and access to training and development.

The company, one of the UK’s fastest growing independent businesses, operates nationally and provides waste management services ranging from metals recovery to domestic sewage collection. It runs the UK’s largest hazardous waste treatment centre at Cadishead, Manchester, as well as depots throughout the country.

CSG managing director Neil Richards said:  “Winning Investors in People recognition confirms the importance we place on developing and encouraging our employees’ skills. The modern waste management industry is a complex and changing operation, and we ensure our staff’s training and professional development is kept updated at all times.”
