14 December 2016 by Daryl Tunningley
Waste management group CSG has announced a key appointment to its team of health and safety experts.
Kevin Mooney (59) has been named as the group’s new Health & Safety Manager.
Based at CSG’s national headquarters in Fareham, he will have particular responsibility for CSG’s southern region operations as well as overseeing the company’s safety management systems in operation at 26 sites across the UK.
Kevin has joined the company after 26 years with the container, storage and transport firm Pentalver Transport Ltd, part of the AP Moeller Maersk Group, including 14 years as group Health, Safety, Security and Environment Manager.
His appointment underlines the importance CSG places on operational and occupational health and safety and environmental compliance.
Two new compliance officers were recently appointed, and the company is working towards Occupational Health & Safety Management 18001 status across all of its sites.
The internationally recognised benchmark certifying best practice for occupational health and safety in the workplace has already been awarded to CSG’s headquarters operation.
The company is also an accredited contractor in the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme.
