CSG’s 85th Anniversary Celebrations
07 November 2019 by CSG
Did you know that 2019 marks the 85th anniversary of CSG? If you didn’t here’s a brief journey through our history, from the day were created, by Bunny Hart, in 1934 to the present day.
To mark the occasion, we invited each of our 500+ workforce to celebrate, on us. Colleagues from each of our 20+ depots around the country were encouraged to organise their own events across the summer and given a budget of £30 a head to get the party started. It was our way to wish our whole team ‘many happy returns’ and, from the Midlands to Middlesbrough and from Cornwall to Kent, for one night only, we made sure we painted the town CSG red!
Here’s how and where we were celebrating:
- CSG’s sales team were spotted out and about wearing masks showing themselves “aged-up” to 85 years.
- Treatment Director Jen Cartmell and Managing Director Neil Richards cut the cake at the CSG Cadishead celebration at The Station in Irlam
- 85th anniversary banner showing one of the original CSG tankers spreading muck onto a field.
- The CSG Cadishead team enjoying a celebratory drink.
- Our specially made 85th anniversary cake.
- J&G Environmental in Blandford Forum celebrated with coffee and cakes.
