Who are they?

Set in 12,000 acres, Goodwood is England’s greatest sporting estate, home to a substantial organic farm, a Battle of Britain airfield, celebrated racecourse, historic motor circuit, two golf courses and one of the oldest cricket grounds in the country, all centred around the magnificent Goodwood House.
CSG are responsible for the collection of septic tank, cesspit and treatment plant tank waste across the Goodwood Estate and for servicing the flagship sporting events held there, in a partnership spanning more than 20 years.

What do we do for them?

Our first contract was to service the Goodwood Hotel and we were awarded the Racecourse contract soon after. This saw us supporting race meetings with between six and eight tankers.

Our work for the Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and race meetings has become increasingly successful over the years. We now operate a round-the-clock service, with up to 12 tankers working double shifts. We can also provide support to the race competitors who may have large motorhomes requiring effluent removal.

We serve the 30-plus households owned and managed by the Goodwood Estate, providing septic tank, cesspit and treatment plant tank emptying and responding to out-of-hours emergencies 365 days of the year.

Over the years on the back of our exceptional service we have been awarded contracts to service the Aerodrome, road racing including the Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival Meetings and the Goodwood Sports Club including the golf course.

We have a dedicated account team that works closely with the Goodwood management to ensure all KPIs are being met and to agree project management for forthcoming events, allowing CSG to approach the schedule in a coordinated manner to maximise efficiency and reduce overall cost for Goodwood.

CSG have broadened the services offered to include waste fuel collections and gully cleaning, saving time and money for Goodwood as they no longer have to manage multiple supplier relationships.

We will respond to any requirement including blockages, flooding and emergency support to engineers if a treatment plant or pump station fail for any reason.

Whilst we are naturally proud of the high-quality performance delivered within this contract, we also pride ourselves on the fact that this is the established standard of customer service we afford all customers.

Peter Sullivan, Head of Procurement at The Goodwood Group, said: “CSG have now over many years working with us provided a consistent and excellent level of service. They have always responded positively and quickly to the various curve balls we have thrown their way. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CSG to any organisation considering working with them in the future.”
