CSG at Oil Safety Gathering

Cleansing Service Group, a major player in the waste oil treatment and recovery and spills response sectors, will take part in this year’s Oil Care Campaign (OCC) conference and exhibition being held at the National Motorcycle Museum near Birmingham on June 4.

CSG Spills Response Division manager Hugh Neatherway, and Nathan Pearson, business manager for CSG waste lubricating oil collection subsidiary Oil Monster, will attend the event which marks the campaign’s 20th anniversary.

OCC is a joint initiative between UK environmental regulators, trade and professional bodies and industry. It promotes good practice among those responsible for keeping oil safe, and aims to provide guidance for domestic, commercial and industrial oil users on the safe storage and handling of oils.

Thousands of oil users consult the campaign’s Oil Bank website each year to locate the nearest oil recycling facilities.

CSG is a founding member of the UK Spill Association, and the company’s spills response division operates a 24/7 emergency service, often called upon to deal with oil spills.

Oil Monster, which CSG acquired in 2013, collected around 2million litres of waste oil last year. The oil is refined into base oil ready to enter back into the lubricant market.
