National Finals Award Place for CSG

CSG is on its way to the national finals of another major business award. The company took top spot in the ‘Best use of Technology’ category in this year’s North West heats of the Chamber Business Awards, a UK-wide competition open to members of accredited Chambers of Commerce.

CSG, members of the Greater Manchester Chamber, has a significant presence in the region where it operates its flagship waste treatment and recovery facility at Cadishead near Manchester.

The company will now go on to the competition finals to battle it out for the national title in their category, with the winners announced at an awards dinner in London on November 30.

The awards, now in their 14th year, celebrate the key role that local businesses play in driving the UK economy.

Judges recognised the way CSG had exploited the power of technology to grow its business and used it to improve processes, efficiency and customer services. CSG tendering and marketing manager Louise Holgate said the company had dedicated considerable time and resource to develop technological processes over the past few years.

“Both our customers and the industry in which we operate expect high standards and an innovative approach to waste management. It’s important that we continue to invest in technology that meets and exceeds their expectations.” This is the latest in a clutch of business award wins by CSG, which have included Hampshire Company of the Year and Innovation titles as well as awards for Business Excellence, Best Employer, and Business Innovation in the Salford Business Awards.
