Seminar Date for CSG’s Sarah

12 October 2016 by Daryl Tunningley

A member of CSG’s health, safety and environmental compliance team will be among the guest speakers at a technical seminar to be staged by the Waste Facilities Audit Association (WFAA) on October 19.

The event, to be held at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce headquarters, will focus on problems facing waste producers, and identifying the solutions, as well as sharing information on environmental waste legislation.

It will be attended by a specialist audience including representatives from leading waste management, industrial and pharmaceutical companies.

CSG compliance manager Sarah Taylor will be speaking about ways to engage the workforce in raising the profile of a company’s HSE compliance.Other contributors include a representative from the Environment Agency who will describe the statutory Code of Practice for Duty of Care.

The event is one of a regular series held by the WFAA – a non-profit making association of companies whose business activities generate waste.

It was founded in 1993 in response to a tightening of legal environmental requirements, increasing waste disposal costs and a growth in public and corporate expectation.

The organisation assists its members in obtaining authoritative information on UK, Irish and mainland Europe waste management facilities by commissioning and sharing independent audits.
