Location: Valero Pembroke

Salary: £13.00 per hour (day shift)

Role Type: 10 – 12 Hours a day (Subject to operational requirements)

Hours: Maximum 78hrs per week (subject to change)

We are looking to recruit temporary team members to work as part of our team for the upcoming 2024 Turnaround here at Valero Refinery, Pembroke.

Whether you have experience of working in the petro-chemical industry or are new to the sector we can provide all necessary training and motivate you to become a valued team member for the duration of the project and possibly beyond. The Turnaround Project is scheduled to run for upwards of 8 weeks, beginning September 2024. These projects are run on a fairly flexible basis and recruits are expected to work on a 13 days on, 1 day off basis. The shifts are expected to be between 10 and 12 hours and we will be looking for both day and night shift workers. Rates will vary between nights and days and Valero offer a site bonus which is paid in addition to the specified rate.

Role – General Labourer. Assisting the team with various duties including:

• Accompanying the drivers and assisting with bowser tanker duties – helping with hoses, banksman duties
• Accompanying the drivers to deliver and retrieve skips and bins site wide
• General yard duties – assisting to package loads for transport, general yard tidying, helping with loading and unloading deliveries and collections

The Candidate:

• All training provided
• Candidate will have a strong work ethic, responding proactively to instruction and being willing to help their team members
• The role is a physical one so a general level of fitness and motivation to work is an advantage
• Attention to detail is an advantage on a busy oil refinery as safety is paramount
• No experience necessary but a willingness to learn will be a great place to start
